Honda Cars India Welcomes Ryuto Shimizu mobility outlook

In a significant move signalling fresh leadership and strategic direction, Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) is proud to announce Ryuto Shimizu as the new Director of Marketing & Sales, effective from April 1, 2024. This appointment marks a new chapter in HCIL's journey, promising innovative strategies and enhanced market presence in the competitive Indian automotive sector.

Shimizu, a veteran with over 25 years at Honda, brings a wealth of experience from various global markets, including Japan, China, and Thailand. His extensive background in marketing and sales, product planning, overseas operations, and business planning equips him with the unique insights and strategic vision necessary to steer HCIL's marketing and sales initiatives towards new heights.

Before his new role at HCIL, Shimizu was instrumental in shaping the business strategy at Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co Ltd, where he led the Business Planning Office from 2021 to 2023.

Shimizu succeeds Yuichi Murata, who has taken up the mantle as President of Honda Mexico, leaving behind a legacy of success and growth at HCIL. The transition is seen as a testament to Honda's dynamic leadership grooming and global mobility, ensuring that each market benefits from a fresh perspective and seasoned expertise.
