Tata-owned Jaguar Land Rover India on Monday announced that it has commenced the deliveries for the latest generation flagship, the Range Rover.

The new product is priced at a starting price of INR 2.38 crore, ex-showroom, India, for the base diesel SE trim level while touching the peak of INR 3.43 crore for the V8 LWB Autobiography seven-seater.

At present, deliveries for the SE, HSE and Autobiography models have started in addition to the First Edition model available throughout the first year of production, a press release from the company stated.

Based on the latest MLA-Flex body architecture, the SUV is available in Standard Wheelbase (SWB) and Long Wheelbase (LWB), with options for four, five or seven seats.

Under the hood are available three engine options, including a 3.0 L six cylinder petrol engine, delivering power of 294 kW and torque of 550 Nm and a 3.0 L six-cylinder diesel mill, delivering power of 258 kW and torque of 700 Nm. A 4.4 L Twin Turbo V8 petrol power unit is also available, churning out 390 kW and 750 Nm of torque.

It is truly, the most desirable vehicle meant for the most discerning of customers.”

The company recently announced that it saw a drop of 33.6% in the Q1FY23 sales compared to the same period last year as it clocked global retails of 82,587 vehicles compared to 124,537 units in the Q1FY22.

It must be noted that the numbers for this fiscal include CJLR volumes of 10,772 units. Jaguar wholesales for the quarter were 14,596 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the quarter were 67,991 vehicles, the company noted
