Kia India has officially opened pre-bookings for the New Sonet, its latest offering in the Compact SUV segment, starting from December 20, 2023. To provide customers with an exclusive opportunity to secure their place in the queue, Kia has reintroduced the 'K-Code' priority booking initiative.
Customers can leverage the 'K-Code' from any existing Kia customer, facilitating bookings through the official Kia India website and the 'MyKia' app. This special booking code is valid only on December 20th, 2023, from 12 AM to 11:59 PM.
Deliveries for the new Sonet are set to commence in January 2024, with the exception of Diesel MT variants, scheduled for February 2024.
The new Sonet comes with 25 safety features, including a robust 15 Hi-Safety Package and ten ADAS features. Furthermore, it offers over 70 connected car features, such as Find My Car with Surround View Monitor (SVM), Hinglish Commands, and Valet Mode.
According to a study by Frost & Sullivan, the Sonet's maintenance cost stands 16% and 14% lower than the segment average in Petrol and Diesel variants, respectively. Kia India, with this launch, becomes the only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in the mass passenger vehicle (PV) segment to provide 6 airbags standard across its portfolio.
Tae-Jin Park, MD and CEO, Kia India, said that the Sonet has played a pivotal role in establishing the company’s presence in India, following the success of the Seltos.
The Sonet is Kia's second best-selling vehicle globally with over 3.6 lakh units sold. With 2.84 lakh vehicles sold in India, it has contributed 33% to Kia India's overall domestic sales with a 13% market share in the compact SUV segment in the last three years.
