Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the crossing of the nine-lakh production mark for Scorpio since its launch over two decades ago.

Veejay Nakra, President - Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra, noted, “With the recent launch of Scorpio-N and Scorpio Classic, we have taken this power brand to new heights, reaffirming its position as an authentic SUV.”

R Velusamy, President, Automotive Technology and Product Development, M&M, noted that the company will continue to build upon the legacy of the Scorpio, setting new standards and creating SUVs that inspire and excite.

The current Scorpio line consists of the Scorpio N and the Scorpio Classic. While the latter is a facelift version of the previous generation model, the Scorpio N is claimed to be built on a completely new ladder frame chassis and doesn’t have any of the parts with the earlier Scorpio models.

Launched in June 2022, the Scorpio N sits on the third-gen body-on-frame chassis and features double wishbone suspension with coil-over shocks front suspension, pentalink rear suspension with WATT’s linkage and FDD (Frequency Dependent Damping), and MTV CL (Multi-tuned Valve - Concentric Land).
