Bridgestone Develops Bespoke Potenza Sport mobility outlook

Bridgestone has announced the development of custom 20-inch Potenza Sport ENLITEN tyres for the new all-electric Maserati Grecale Folgore, marking another milestone in the ongoing collaboration between the two premium brands. The Bridgestone Potenza Sport ENLITEN tyres have been engineered to meet the specific needs of the Grecale Folgore, ensuring top performance and control in challenging driving environments. This latest development builds on a history of successful partnerships between Bridgestone and Maserati, including recent collaborations on the Maserati MC20 supercar and the Maserati Grecale.

Bridgestone and Maserati share a strong commitment to electrification. Bridgestone is investing heavily in making electric mobility more efficient and accessible through premium tyres and tyre technologies for electric vehicles (EVs), dedicated fleet and mobility solutions, and an EV-ready retail and service network. Maserati, on its part, is the first Italian luxury brand to launch 100% electric vehicles, with plans to produce electric versions of all its models by 2025 and to offer only full-electric vehicles by 2028.

The custom-developed Potenza Sport ENLITEN tyres are designed to deliver superior handling and performance, thanks to Bridgestone’s innovative ENLITEN Technology. This technology provides maximum safety and outstanding tyre performance while improving the sustainability characteristics of the tyre.

The Maserati Grecale Folgore, designed and produced in Italy, comes fitted with Bridgestone’s custom tyres, which were also developed in Italy. The development process utilised Bridgestone’s proprietary Virtual Tyre Development technologies combined with Maserati’s driving simulator. This digital approach allowed for the creation and testing of the bespoke tyres in a virtual environment, reducing physical prototyping and testing, cutting raw material consumption and carbon emissions, and enabling a faster time to market.
