Maruti Suzuki Updates Super Carry With New 1.2L K Series Engine

Maruti Super Carry

Maruti Suzuki India has launched the updated Super Carry with 1.2L Advanced K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine, starting at INR 5.30 lakh, ex-showroom, India. With this update, the vehicle maker has also introduced a CNG cab chassis variant priced at INR 6.15 lakh.

Available in CNG deck, gasoline deck and gasoline cab chassis along with CNG cab variants, the company noted that the Super Carry S-CNG variant maintains a 5L emergency petrol tank.

The new 4-cylinder engine mated to an upgraded five-speed manual transmission puts out 80.7PS and 104.4Nm of max torque in petrol mode. On the safety side, it gets front disc brakes, reverse parking sensors, seat belt reminders, and a new engine immobiliser system.

Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, noted that the CV has been sold over 1.5 lakh units since its launch in 2016. In FY23, the company sold 38,006 units of the CV, an 11% YoY increase from 33,812 units sold in the FY22.
