The North zone qualifiers held in Delhi and Chandigarh witnessed an overwhelming participation of JIMNY owners.

Maruti Suzuki has successfully concluded the North zone qualifying leg of the 'ROCK N' ROAD 4X4 Masters' championship, a thrilling off-roading event exclusively designed for JIMNY owners. Launched on 27th January in Delhi and followed by Chandigarh on 3rd February, this unique championship aims to unite off-road enthusiasts, allowing them to test their JIMNYs' capabilities on challenging terrains while fostering a sense of camaraderie.

Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, expressed Maruti Suzuki's commitment to offering top-tier SUVs and fostering a community of adventure-seeking drivers. He highlighted that the 'ROCK N' ROAD 4X4 Masters' epitomises their dedication to innovation, customer engagement, and providing extraordinary experiences.

The championship is structured in two phases – qualifiers across 8 cities, followed by a grand finale in Goa. JIMNY owners can participate in two categories – stock vehicles and modified vehicles. Participants in the qualifiers are challenged to complete 8 Special Stages (SS) over two days, testing their off-road driving skills, vehicle familiarity, and physical abilities in recovery activities such as manual winching.

An independent panel of seasoned members from the Indian off-roading community judges’ participants in the 'ROCK N' ROAD 4X4 Masters.' The winners from each category in the qualifiers progress to the grand finale scheduled for March 23, 2024, in Goa. In addition to other prizes, the top two winners stand a chance to experience global off-roading events.

The Delhi leg saw Manav Arya and Shantanu Grover emerge as winners in the stock and modified categories, respectively. In Chandigarh, Gurmeet Virdi and Mankaran Singh Bhambra secured victories in the stock and modified categories. The next qualifier rounds will be held in Shillong, Hyderabad, Vagamon, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, leading up to the grand finale in Goa.

The 'ROCK N' ROAD 4X4 Masters' not only tests participants' skills but also emphasises safety and awareness during off-roading. The challenges in the Special Stages include ascents, descents, and undulations across various off-road terrains, promoting responsible off-roading practices.
