Mauritius Orders HAL Dhruv Mk III Helicopter For Its Police Force

The Dhruv Mk III is a helicopter in the 5.5 tonne class utility helicopter and is powered by Ardiden 1H1 ‘Shakti’ engines.


HAL Dhruv

The Government of Mauritius has placed an order with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for a single Dhruv Mk III Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH Mk III) for the Mauritius Police Force. 

Mauritius is an existing operator of the Dhruv, in addition to HAL built Do-228s.  

The Dhruv Mk III is a 5.5-tonne class utility helicopter powered by Ardiden 1H1 ‘Shakti’ engines. 

HAL started deliveries of Dhruv helicopters to the Indian armed forces in 2001-02.

Since then it has gone on to deliver more than 335 Dhruv helicopters, which have accumulated approximately 340,000 flying hours.
