In a bid to provide its customers with doorstep car repair and maintenance services, MG Motor India has announced the launch of the ‘MG Service on Wheels’ initiative.
Under this initiative, the company plans to provide a full suite of services to help customers in the periodic maintenance of their vehicles and will cover most service operations that are otherwise provided only in a workshop, a press release from MG Motor India stated.
It added that the programme will be manned and operated by fully trained and certified technicians backed by MG’s customer support.
Interestingly, the pilot version of the programme has been introduced in Rajkot, and the company plans to cover other upcountry markets across India in future.
Earlier, the carmaker has also introduced various customer-facing initiatives, including- ‘MY MG Shield’ and 'MG Care@Home'.
While MY MG Shield is a car protection and care programme, the MG Care@Home initiative, rolled out in 2021, is designed to provide contactless repair and sanitisation services to customers at their doorstep. MG Motor ranked first in J.D. Power India Customer Service Index (CSI) 2021 Study.
