Home-grown automobile manufacturer M&M on Thursday revealed the complete line-up of XUV700 and announced the opening of its booking from October 7, 2021.

The SUV comes in two series, MX and AX. The MX series comes in petrol and diesel, priced at INR 11.99 lakh and INR 12.49 lakh. 

The AX series, also named Adreno Series, starts at INR 13.99 lakh and goes up to INR 19.70 lakh of the top-end automatic variant. It is to note that all other variants are available in a 5-seater standard layout. Customers can, however, upgrade to a seven-seater version for an extra INR 60,000.

Except for the AX7 version, These ex-showroom prices will remain the same across India and are applicable for the first 25,000 bookings.

The SUV will also be available to retail and corporate customers through leasing in collaboration with Mahindra Finance and Orix. Furthermore, the SUV will be accessible through Mahindra Subscription with no down payment and no road tax.

The vehicle's test drives will be divided into two phases. The first phase will commence on October 2, 2021, followed by the second phase on October 7, 2021. In addition, existing Mahindra customers will also be invited to a special preview at their local store.

In the first phase of test drives, cities like Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Indore, Lucknow, Coimbatore and Vadodara will be covered. While in the second phase, cities like Jaipur, Surat, Patna, Kochi, Cuttack, Kanpur, Calicut and Nashik will be covered. 

Starting on October 10, the company will add more cities to begin test drives for the rest of the country.

The XUV700 will be available with two engine options: a four-cylinder petrol engine and a four-cylinder diesel engine. The 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine produces 200hp and 380Nm of torque and is available with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

While the new 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged engine is available in two tuning levels. The lower-powered unit for the MX version produces 155hp and 360Nm and is only available with a 6-speed manual, whereas the unit in the AX models makes 185hp and 420Nm and is available with an automatic transmission which increases the toque output to 450 Nm.

The petrol variants will precede deliveries of the diesel variants, and an official announcement regarding the date for the start of deliveries will be made by October 10, the company said.

Mahindra has also launched the 'add to cart' functionality on its website for the XUV700. It will allow customers to save variant configurations, including fuel type, seating capacity, colour and dealer preference, ahead of the bookings opening and formally book the vehicle online from October 7, 2021.

The new SUV will be offered with a host of standard features, among which is the segment-first ADAS Level-1 driving feature. With the AX series, customers can enjoy features such as a high-resolution 10.25-inch instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and a control screen of the same size. In addition, the infotainment system in the AX series comes with AdrenoX Connect with 70 connected features.
