Nissan Motor India Elevates Saurabh Vatsa As Managing Director

Vatsa takes over from the incumbent Managing Director, Rakesh Srivastava, who retires on March 31, 2024.

Nissan Motor India has announced the appointment of Saurabh Vatsa as Managing Director (MD) of the company, effective April 01, 2024. Vatsa, who was previously serving as Deputy Managing Director since January 15, will now step into the role of MD, reporting to Frank Torres, President of Nissan India Operations.

Vatsa takes over from the incumbent Managing Director, Rakesh Srivastava, who retires on March 31, 2024. During Srivastava's tenure, Nissan witnessed significant milestones, including the successful launch of the Nissan Magnite B-SUV, which garnered over 100,000 cumulative domestic sales since its introduction in 2020. Under his leadership, Nissan also received the prestigious Global Nissan President Award for Project Magnite in 2020 and for the Nissan India Business Transformation Plan in 2022.
