Scorpio-N, The New Avatar From Mahindra To Target D-Segment

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that the new Scorpio-N, internally coded as Z101, will be launched on June 27, 2022. To be manufactured at the company’s Chakan facility, the new model is slated to be targeted at the D-segment, rivalling the like of the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq and the newly launched Jeep Meridian.

The company noted that the ongoing model generation of the SUV will continue to retail alongside the new model with the ‘Scorpio Classic’ nameplate. The vehicle maker claims that the new SUV will feature a host of technological advancements along with premium quality materials on the inside.

Additionally, the model will also get an option for both petrol and diesel powertrains and options for manual, automatic transmission and 4X4 drivetrain. 

Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M, said that the Scorpio has been a landmark model for the company, redefined the category and became an iconic brand in the Indian automobile industry.
