Sona BLW Precision Forgings has announced its partnership with Drive TLV to get access to Israel’s hi-tech mobility start-up ecosystem.
Under the partnership, Sona Comstar aims to participate in DRIVE’s start-up commercialisation programme, Fastlane and will have access to DRIVE’s new testing, evaluation and development centre - Power, a press release from Sona Comstar stated.
Interestingly, Sona Comstar is Drive’s first partner to be based out of India. Drive TLV collaborates with a select group of partners in the mobility industry and helps its partners to bring top emerging technologies and tailor solutions to their needs.
Interestingly, Drive TLV is claimed to have helped more than 50 mobility-focused start-ups raise more than $2 billion to develop and commercialise new technologies since 2017.
The release continued that Sona Comstar is developing multiple new products for advanced mobility applications by supplementing R&D efforts with strategic partnerships with innovative start-ups.
Kiran M Deshmukh, Group CTO, Sona Comstar, noted that Israel is one of the global hubs for smart mobility innovation. He said that driving TLV’s accelerator, prototyping lab, and shared workspace encourages innovation, networking, and collaboration with mobility-focused technology start-ups.
