The company's products are essential to a diverse range of vehicles, including Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, and Off-highway Vehicles. Notably, Sona Comstar stands out as one of the globe's foremost manufacturers of differential assemblies for BEVs, holding a substantial market share that has swelled from 5.0% in 2020 to 8.1% in 2023, as estimated by industry expert Ricardo.
In India, the company's stronghold is particularly robust, with a market share fluctuating between 60-90% across various vehicle categories. This dominance is a testament to the company's dedication to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, which has positioned it as a preferred partner for top-tier automotive manufacturers globally. Sona Comstar's clientele includes seven of the top 10 passenger vehicle OEMs, three of the top 10 commercial vehicle OEMs, and several leaders in the tractor and electric vehicle sectors.

Sona Comstar's journey began in 1999 with the production of precision forged differential gears in Gurgaon, Haryana. The company expanded its operations to Pune, Maharashtra, in 2005 and has since marked several production milestones, demonstrating its rapid growth and capacity to meet the evolving needs of the global automotive industry. The company's recent achievement of producing its 6 millionth differential assembly in less than nine months is a clear indicator of its accelerating growth and the automotive industry's shifting dynamics towards greener, safer, and smarter mobility solutions.
