TVS Motor Company on Friday showcased its innovative suite of mobility solutions to Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. The company, known for its presence in 80 countries and substantial exports, highlighted its commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat by focusing on clean, connected, and technologically advanced mobility solutions.

Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director, TVS Motor Company, said, the company is investing INR 5,000 crore towards the development of future technologies, products, and digital capabilities. A press release from the company said that it is uniquely positioned as the only OEM in India with end-to-end in-house EV and connected capabilities, including battery manufacturing, battery management system, vehicle control unit, and infotainment systems. With over 650 EV-related patents and a strong team of 2,000 plus engineers, it is a leading OEM in smart connectivity and digital technologies.

The company's showcase at the expo included its electric scooter - TVS X, and its flagship electric scooter- TVS iQube, which already boasts 250,000 customers. It also displayed Norton motorcycles, a 125-year-old iconic brand acquired by TVS Motor, indicating a transformation for a global market. The company emphasised its commitment to sustainable practices, with 88% of its energy needs met through renewable sources.

The TVS Motor showcase at the expo also featured initiatives empowering women, global outlook, community work, and sustainable manufacturing practices. The display included the TVS Apache 310 Series, a result of a collaborative partnership with BMW, and TVS Connected Services, which seamlessly integrates smart devices for enhanced rider experience. Additionally, the company exhibited e-bikes from EGO Movement and highlighted its community interventions through the Srinivasan Service Trust, benefitting 1.6 million people in 2,500 villages.
