Priced at a starting point of INR 7.89 lakh for the Tiago iCNG and INR 8.84 lakh for the Tigor iCNG (Ex-showroom Delhi), these cars aim to redefine the CNG segment with their impressive mileage of 28.06 Km/kg.


Tata Motors Launches Tiago & Tigor iCNG AMT mobility outlook

Tata Motors has yet again made an industry-first move with the launch of the Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT, marking India’s maiden entry into the world of Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) CNG cars. The announcement comes as Tata Motors continues to push the boundaries of innovation in the ever-evolving automobile sector.

In addition to the existing colour palette, Tata Motors introduces captivating new colours – Tornado Blue for the Tiago, Grassland Beige for Tiago NRG, and Meteor Bronze for the Tigor.

Amit Kamat, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., expressed enthusiasm about the launch, emphasising Tata Motors' commitment to driving innovation and meeting customer expectations. He highlighted CNG's widespread acceptance, thanks to its accessibility, and credited Tata Motors for shaking up the CNG segment with industry-first features such as twin-cylinder technology, preserving boot space, high-end feature choices, and direct start in CNG.

Over the past 24 months, Tata Motors has marked a significant milestone by selling more than 1.3 lakh CNG vehicles. With the Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT, the company aims to further enhance the appeal of CNG vehicles in the market. Tata Motors boasts the widest CNG portfolio, including models like Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, and the Punch. As one of the top two brands in the CNG market, Tata Motors has experienced a remarkable 67.9% growth in CNG sales in FY24 compared to the previous year.

Kamat highlighted the company's commitment to sustainability and innovation by introducing Intelligent, Safe, and Powerful twin models. The launch of the Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT is expected to generate increased demand for CNG options, contributing to the sustained growth momentum in Tata Motors' passenger car segment.
